Film Review: I AM LEGEND
Directed By: Francis Lawrence
~i went out last night with my hottie friends at greenbelt to watch I AM LEGEND. we had a fantastic dinner at gerry's grill (thanks to cindys credit card, yey!), played a bit at timezone g4 while waiting for lyn and blue to watch the last full show of I AM LEGEND.
Movie Summary:
~it was about a plague that killed almost all of humanity. a VIRAL infection that causes human to transform into what they call the "dark seekers." and the only sole survivor Robert Neville struggled valiantly to find the best cure to bring back the monsters into a normal human being.
~the setting was in New York, the conflict started due to the said "cure" for the measle virus which turns out to be the worse nightmare to mankind...

~the film was undeniably good. great effects, and i never thought of New York City lookin like a rain forest of old stucked cars, fading and rusting buildings, quiet as the sleepless nights, and so on.
~the movie shuttered me for almost 2 hours. but i am lookin and askin for more. especially at the end part. i wanted to know if what happend to the dar seekers. we're they able to cope up and returned to their human forms? i want more "gulat" and thrilling scenes. thay could have done MORE.
~my personal faves:
* the "gulat" part with the monsters
*runaway with, of course the monsters
*sam, neville (will smith), monster dogs encounter (sunset part)
*the first encounter of neville and sam with the monster in the dark building
~saddest:
*sam and neville encounter with the monster dogs wherein sam was biten
*neville hugging sam and killing the dog softly (huhuhu, tear-jerk!)
~oh well, over-all the movie was a superb.
~it actually reminded me of movies such as "30 Days of Night," "28 days later..."
~i dunno what to feel if incase i will be the ONLY human being left in a place with all those man-eating creatures. whew! i will probably die or i will just let myself be eaten by the monsters. hahaha. YUMMY!
~it really scared me. hahaha.
~of course, the movie wouldn't be as much fun and exciting without my fwends. (zindy, masie, ai, blue, lyn and oskee). "Kalokohan and Kulitan to the MAX."
OVER-ALL RATING
******* 7 out of 10 stars!!
I'm gonna wait for the sequel, or part 2. hehe!! =P

MY WISHLIST FOR 'TIS YULETIDE SEASON:
10. a new pair of colored skinny jeans ~ since i love rave fashion and i am so fitted to wear it (duh, i'm like supah skinny), i would love to have a new pair. maybe a bright red, a royal blue, pure white or that street green. topman got the bright red, though the smallest won't fit me well. smallest will be like 28?? i'm like 25. haha.. however, i saw one from plains and prints, the blue and red skinny jeans gretchen baretto was wearing from her billboard ads. i think that will suit me better, since my bod is not structured for the masculine apparel. shoppin' shoppin' i just hope i can find a good 'ol pair of skinny..
9. CC Skye Gold Leather Bracelet ~ whew!! the damn sexy whore bracelet is just makin me crazy. i saw the twinkies fashioned by none other than nicole richie. the bracelet is really stunning and funky. i like the black leather part of it. news flash: if you plan to give me one, just a heads up, the bracelet worth $180.00 cashing, cashing!! and, you may buy it online for me click here.
8. a new pair of CHUCKS or leather shoes may do. ~ i wanna buy a new chucks, something i never done for a year. i want something artistic and colorful. i spotted some cute pair at shoe salon. OR, if not a chucks, i wanna buy some barbie shoes (termed used by my ex husband Sean Martin). barbie shoes, or popularly known as the pointed leather shoes. the problem, again, the size. in the MASCULINE world, no room for petites like me. smallest size for that barbie shoes, is like hundred times bigger than my feet. neither of the 2, but i want a new pair of footsies..
7. a new Music Player. although i already got ipod. (shuffle nalang yung 2nd gen 1 gb), i wanna have a new sleekier, user friendly player. i already spotted the Samsung MP3 player. sleek, stylish and will surely bring out the music junkie in you. OR, if not Samsung, why not go for CREATIVE. i lurve the colors. a must have for a music lowver!!
6. a new LCD monitor. right now, i am using my brothers LCD monitor for my PC. mine was sooo crashed out. good thing my brothers internet was disconnected (for the meantime) so he lend me his monitor, but i really need to have my own. tsk tsk.. santa, i've been good the whole year... =P
5. my DIAMOND PEEL from dermstrata. i've been really wanting to have this service way ages ago. just to take off those ugly pimple marks and scars that i have. right now, i'm having my derma and cleaning at dermstrata, and they strongly suggested me to undergo diamond peeling. so by the 2nd week of december, i'll be putting myself into the hands of ate lisa. (my personal derm gurl...)
4. a new POSH bag. bags that are stylish and timeless. i want a very spacious bag. a bag that will carry all of my junk and misled in life. i want something black, something that will not be soo much hard to pair with my skinny jeans or with my a&f cargo pants. storage is very important, pockets too, i lurve bags with lots of hidden pockets, and lastly it should have good, good quality. 'coz bag nowadays, specially those immitaion bags from the tiangge can't really last for long. 'coz i'm the type who brings alot of stuff. better to have a bag that is well stitched but not "branded" rather than those "branded - branded - dan" lang which life extends just about till next week.
3. a new hoodie. since i am lurvin' the RAVE. i must have my own hoodie. i only got (unfortunately) 1 white hoodie jacket. i've seen good hoodies from amblvd. which cost for about P2000-P3000 per piece. i am not that splurge when it comes to jackets and tees. so i still need to find a good one (rave design please ~ something neon, something heart and guns) from not so cheap boutiques. but if you're richer than me, buy me one ~winks.
2. a new HED KANDI cd(s). ~ well, well, well, Hed Kandi huh. and guess how much the cd will cost, somewhat, P1000-P1500, depending on the collection and all. i need a new soundtrack for the new year. wala lang, i'm getting a bit bored wit' my usual house ~ kandi tracks. but, there's always a but, if not a HED KANDI cd, any Anton Ramos chillout project cd will complete my xmas experience. more or less P350 lang yun. i already got his chillout project session, but ramos got more. i visited his site, click here. and i want his newest collection. whew!! i just love chillin'...
1. my own digicam ~ SLR. i lurve photography. and it's my passion to edit pictures. please, please i accept donations. since it's x-mas, just give one to the less fortunate like me.. hehe. promise i'll take a picture of you, with me. hahaha.. Sony will do. ~winks
how about you, what do you want to get this x-mas?? haha.. well, don't think that i'm like the material gurl, of course i do want more serious things 'tis xmas. not only the perks, the hoops and the loops. of course, what more can a little person like can wish for...

~"i'm not a plastic bag..."

i watched "Kapuso Mo, Jessica" last saturday. the show caters fascinating stories about different people, their interests, what they do, and so on. of course, the show is hosted by Jessica Soho. i really find it quite informative, i always look forward to see whats the next 30mins episode will be."Kapuso Mo, JessiCa" airs every Saturday at around 8 or 830pm at GMA 7.
so as mentioned, i watched the show last saturday. and i really loved that episode. well only one segment of it. "i'm not a plastic bag..." the topic was about the usage of PLASTIC BAGS as shopping bags, etc. as we all know, plastic bags don't decay in like 24 hours. but rather it takes thousands of years for it to be complete destoryed. one main reason of flood during the rainy season: PLASTICS. it so freakin' sad to see people throwing stuff anywhere. and almost 70-80% of collected garbage are made of plastics (or plastic itself).
